Grand Rapids Facility Care

Seating: As with all Michigan AAU VB tournaments spectators need to bring non-marking chairs.

Electrical appliances or devices are not allowed at any Site

Water Only

is allowed inside all playing areas.

Tailgate parties are allowed OUTSIDE (as long as you clean up after your group).

Smoking is not allowed inside or on the grounds of any facility

Team Responsibilities

Team Roster
A copy of the completed team roster needs to be given to each tournament host at check in. The tournament host will keep this form. Do not mail this form to the to the tournament director. Click here to download a team roster form.

 

Tournament Check-in

Coaches will need either a permanent AAU Card, expires August 31 of the current or a temporary AAU card stamped in Red and Blue with MJVBA expires August 31 of the current year for every athlete & coach & every person that sits on your bench.

Birth certificates will not be required at check-in but coaches must have a copy of each players birth certificate in case there is a question about a players age.

 

If you have athletes playing under the MJVBA age modifications for 14,13 or 12's check for the additional required paper work on the age definitions page.

 

Medical Authorization

All clubs should have on file a medical authorization slip signed by the athlete and a parent or guardian granting permission for emergency medical treatment. The form should list emergency contact information. A duplicate copy should be with the coach at every practice and competition.

Event Information

All Matches will be 2 out 3 no cap games.

Warm-up 2-4-4.

Gyms open 45 minutes before the first match of the day

Check Sundays Schedule closely as many teams will move to a different site.

Check your officiating assignments. $100 fine for missing an officiating assignments

Admission: all sites are a per person per day admission fee.

DeVos is $5, Grand Valley State University $4 all other sites are $3.

Those Teams playing at DeVos obtain a location information and a parking map.

Teams can be dropped off in front of DeVos on Monroe Ave.

One of the entrances is located on Monroe Ave.

The other entrance is located the west side of the building next to the Grand River.
